eBay are to set to force users to change their passwords as a recent cyber-attack compromised their databases following a recent security breach.
The online giant said the “database was hacked between late February and early March”. eBay then added that the “database had contained encrypted passwords and other non-financial data”.
ebay then mentioned that they had “no evidence of there being unauthorised activity on its members’ accounts”.
Shortly after evidence of hacking was realised, ebay suggested all users change their passwords in order to enhance the security of their accounts.
